Solstice Festival Starts Tomorrow

Dear friends of the POP-UP School

I am hoping this post finds you well and slipping into the spirit of the solstice. Tomorrow (Dec 14th) we will launch the Solstice Festival with two events

12 - 1:15 PM Healing Sphere

This is the first of six sessions on what might be thought as “Sphere-ology¹” which are exercises in re-imagining some of the psycho-spiritual ideas we have by shifting them from linear, modern narratives and envisioning them as living, vibrating spheres of universal energy.

This is not a return to the 2-dimensional world of the mythic circle and its recurrent cycles. Rather it is an elaboration of the complex interpenetration of universal principles and individual mind-nature.

In this first session we will be co-creating a new way to look at and understand the principles of Healing— on individual personal, and transpersonal levels, by employing the image of the sphere to draw out our phenomenological experience both of trauma and health.

2- 3 PM Assembling the Animal

In the second session we will be playing around with Assemblages - working toward a new way to envision the relationships that co-create nature - the sympoietic assemblages mutually called forth and composed by the animal, biome, material, energetic, and technological realms. Here is an illustration of the assemblage point from the perspective of the animal.
