Damn Bonnie,

How I found you in this world of 8 billion people challenges even my conception of Magik Realité.

This question you propose at the end of the podcast; “What skills does one need to lead a group of free and willing participants?” Is the unarticulated vector of my entire life.

I see it enacted in my repeated career dissatisfaction culminating in my current choice of career, my occasionally-bordering-on-pathological independence - always seeking community but never quite being satisfied. I see it in how I chose to raise my daughters, and, looking back through the clear lenses of that question, perhaps even in why I ended my marriage. (I’m not sure I could have been the mother I wanted to be in that structure, at that time in my development.)

It resolves my doubt and validates my choice to end various associations when the containers and roles became too restrictive to allow this dance of shaping character and elevating leadership.

It describes the relationships that enliven me, It gets at the essence of my beef with our current world’s structures and institutions and enunciates the principle I’ve been moving toward with the quietly chanted mantra “We are ALL volunteers”.

It opens a space of possibility and clear directions for my own growth the end of which I can’t see, which seems exactly as it should be in this creative advance into novelty.

Thank you for the gift of you.

I use situational awareness to determine what degree of egocentric/allocentric balance is needed for the current circumstances.

Maybe I'm not "committed enough" but I don't see where allocentric values should always, or even mostly take precedence over egocentric values. It's about finding the best balance.
