Hi Bonnitta, I guess the early bird membership is only for people who are already Pop-up paid subscribers? I’ve been lurking on the edges for quite a while and had been thinking of joining up here but did not make the leap. Just thought I’d check.
Thanks for replying Bonnitta! When I go to the Originals site it mentions the 3 free days but not the 50% discount. With the currency difference (I’m in nz) and my income, I can’t currently commit to $40 a month but I’d certainly do an early bird toe-dip to start with.
If you have a uearly paid membership to the POP-UP school at the previous price ($ 360) and did not receive a code from me in an email from my personal address, let me know here, please.
Hi - can you help me understand or point me in the right direction, the difference between subscribing to Pop up school on Substack or subscribing to Originals? I think it get Originals from your announcement, but not so sure what is available if I subscribe on Substack to the pop up school. - thanks!
The POP-UP school used to run year-long courses for $ 40/month. Now it is $ 8 month and includes essays and animated tutorials only - no live courses.
The learning community has moved to the Originals Channel which has the benefit of inviting other authors and teachers into the community conversation. It is $ 40/month but for early adopters there is a 50% discount on either your month subscription or yearly membership.
Sorry for the confusion. The idea was to build a more robust community than substack can offer, to expand the conversation to other teachers (hence, the interview series), to allow for study groups to gather around featured teachers, to have a discussion forum (substack chat is no good) AND to lower the subscription price for the POP-UP school.
Thankyou, that’s really helpful - the 50% discount, how long is that offer available for and if I do monthly, will that recur at $20 until/if I cancel? Cheers
If you have already paid for an annual subscription through March 2025 or later, you should have received a discount code for the Originals membership in a separate email. If not, please let me know.
Pop-Up School? Where, when, what? So curious.
You're in it

OK, I see they changed it. I am going to send out another post with the 50% discount code… in a minute
If you go to the Originals membership site, you should see a 3-day free trial and a 50% discount for early sign-ups.
