Yes - and even so, their "professional" understanding made them such fascinating commentators on parenthood and leadership . . . this was healing for me.
Exact;ly! We weren't debating their view, we were attending to what it was like to be them. You could feel the tension inside yourself when you agreed or disagreed with what they were saying. Both men were very transparent about how they held their views. Not sure it could be pulled off with other people. I kinda knew these two would show up.
I think one of the most powerful messages they delivered was that there is no ONE right way to do this - especially loved when Jonathan answered Brian's questions about his daughters by assuring him that he was probably doing a much better job than he thought. Also loved how this whole conversation dovetailed with the "scientist in the crib" stuff!
Made me think about how my daughter and I can "trigger" each other - but also gave me more of a sense of how to avoid those traps.
Hey friends in the Pop Up School. This was a really wonderful conversation. Check it out. It has many dimensions; and something impacted me so deeply, that after participating I was in a very altered state. Thank you very much Bonnie.

YES!
