January Short Course

Dear Friends of the POP-UP School,

I am happy to announce a new short course on AI.

The course will we based on several new works, and specifically the following:

  • The Green and The Blue: Naive Ideas to Improve Politics in the Digital Age

• Henry Kissenger, Eric Schmidt, Craig Mundie, Niall Ferguson: Genesis: Artifical Intelligence, Hope, and the Human Spirit

The course will include 5 two-hour live (recorded) on-line sessions:

Saturday January 11th, 12 noon - 2pm (eastern)
Tuesday, January 14th, 2pm - 4pm (eastern)
Thursday, January 16th, 4pm - 6pm (eastern)
Saturday, January 18th, 12 noon - 2pm (eastern)
Wednesday, January 22nd, 2pm - 4pm (eastern)

As the world increasingly becomes swallowed up in AI — for example a large percentage of the US economy will be based on AI which will change education and employment— it is critical that we understand what it is and what it isn’t and the hidden dangers that threaten our humanity.
